Khabat Mafakheri, a member of the Green Society of Kurdistan who was arrested by the Sanandaj Intelligence Service on September 26, is still being held at the Intelligence Office detention centre without the right to call or visit his family, informed source told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).
The detention of this activist has been extended twice during this period and, despite his family’s follow-up, no judicial or security officials have so far explained the reason for his detention.
Madeh Fathi, another former member of the Green Society of Kurdistan who was arrested by the Sanandaj Intelligence Service on August 11, has been released on an 80 million Tomans bail in recent days.
The two environmental activists were arrested after being beaten by security officials.
