Women’s rights activist Fariba Zand-Karimi, who was detained on 5 April after being summoned to the Ministry of Intelligence in Sanandaj, Kurdistan province, remains in custody without the right to legal counsel and family visits.
The activist was transferred to the detention facility of the intelligence ministry in the city.
After her arrest, security interrogators went to her family home and confiscated some of her personal belongings while searching the house
There is no information about the reason for Zand-Karimi’s arrest or the charges brought against her.
