Iran’s Border Guard Command forces have shot and wounded at least nine kolbars in the country’s western borders in the past few days.

On 4 September, border forces targeted kolbars in three areas in Nowsud, Kermanshah province, injuring four kolbars identified as Eghbal Alizadeh, Hemmat Abdi, Ali Ahmadi and Parviz Moradi.

On 2 September, border guards opened fire on kolbars in two areas in Baneh, Kurdistan province, and wounded three kolbars identified as Mohammad Aslani, Nasseh Karimzadeh and Rizgar Majidi.

Also, on 1 September, two kolbars named Ayoub Mowloudi and Abdollah Jabbarzadeh were shot and wounded by border forces in Nowsud and Sardasht, West Azerbaijan province.

According to the statistics collected by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), Iranian border forces killed at least seven kolbars and injured 21 others in the border areas of Baneh in the last month and a half.

Also, three kolbars were severely injured due to the explosion of landmines while working as kolbars in the border areas of the city.
