Prisoner Peyman Arab Gicheh, who was previously sentenced to death on drug-related charges, was executed today at Karaj Central Penitentiary in northern Iran.
The prisoner was transferred to solitary confinement on 8 January, along with another prisoner, Rashid Lavandpour, for execution.
Lavandpour’s execution was carried out yesterday morning.
Arab Gicheh, who comes from Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan province, was arrested about three years ago and sentenced to death on drug-related offences.
