Investigations carried out by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) across Iranian Kurdistan show that Iranian forces have killed at least 12 protestors, injured 375 and arrested 530 during the protests rallies held over the killing of the 22-year-old Mahsa (Zhina) Amini.

The anti-riot and paramilitary Basij forces killed at least 12 protestors during the protests rallies held in Orumiyeh, Oshnavieh, Piranshahr, Divandarreh, Saqqez, Dehgolan and Kermanshah over the killing of Mahsa (Zhina) Amini.

The identities of these civilians are Farjad Darvishi, Mohsen Mohammadi, Fereydoun Mahmoudi, Reza Lotfi, Zakariya Khiyal, Foad Ghadimi, Minou Majidi, Danesh Rahnema, Sadraddin Litani, Milan Haghighati, Amin Marefat and Abdollah Mahmudpour.

These included three children; Marefat, Mahmudpour and Khiyal were 16 years old.

Also, the reports received from Eslamabad-e Gharb and Ilam indicate that at least two protesters were killed during last night’s protests in these cities. But due to the disruptions in the Internet connection and the militarization of these cities, the KHRN has not yet managed to access reliable sources regarding these cases.

The KHRN’s investigations and the interviews it conducted with more than 100 eyewitnesses in the cities of Orumiyeh, Oshnavieh, Salmas, Sardasht, Piranshahr, Naqadeh, Bukan, Takab, Saqqez, Divandarreh, Bijar, Qorveh, Baneh, Sanandaj, Marivan, Kamyaran, Dehgolan, Kermanshah, Eslamabad-e Gharb, Ivangharb, Abadanan and Paveh suggest that the anti-riot and Basij forces have injured at least 375 protestors.

There were at least 13 children among the wounded.

According to eyewitnesses, dozens of people injured in these protests have refused to go to medical centres for fear of being arrested by the security forces.

The statistics collected by the KHRN also show that during this period security forces arrested at least 530 protesters, among whom there are at least 150 injured.

The detained civilians were taken to the detention centres of the Security Police, the Ministry of Intelligence and the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
