Following the new wave of arrests of Kurdish civilians and activists in Iran, at least 10 civilians were arrested by the security forces in the cities of Bukan, Mahabad, and Miandoab in West Azerbaijan province and taken to an undisclosed location in the past week.

On 16 August, security forces simultaneously raided the houses of four civilians named Chia Pirzad, Shahram Bayazidi-Azar, Kambiz Bayazidi-Azar and Amir Bayazidi-Azar in the village of Laj in Mahabad and arrested them.

At the same time, two other civilians named Jalal Mahmoudi and Loghman Ebrahimi were arrested in the city.

Also, on 14 August, security forces detained three civilians named Mostafa Balaz, Amin Hosseinzadeh, and Ali Faroughi in Bukan.

On 11 August, another civilian named Mohammad Karimikhah was arrested by the security forces in Bukan.

There is no information on the reason for the arrest and the whereabouts of these civilians.
