Forces of Iran’s Border Guard Command have killed a kolbar and wounded nine others in the past two days in the country’s western border areas.

Border forces shot and killed a kolbar named Soleiman Ebrahimzadeh in the Bitush border area of Sardasht, West Azerbaijan province, on 18 April.

Ebrahimzadeh, 37, was the father of a child and came from the village of Banu Khalaf in Sardasht.

Separately, on 17 April, border forces opened fire on a group of kolbars in the border areas of Nowsud, Kermanshah province, wounding at least nine with shotguns.

The identities of the wounded kolbars are Abdollah Sasseli, Sasan Khani, Sadollah Hosseini, Namdar Hosseini, Mobin Moradi, Vazir Mostafaei, Mahmoud Tavgouzi, Mehdi (last name unknown), and Habib (last name unknown).

The kolbars who were wounded by dozens of shots were taken to medical centres in Paveh in Kermanshah province for treatment.
