Kurdish Human Rights Network (KHRN): A Kurdish teacher, Peyman Naqshandi, was temporarily released from Orumiyeh Central Prison on a bail of 20 Milion Tomans on March 06.

According to reports received by KHRN, security forces arrested this Kurdish teacher on Wednesday, February 27 in the Rashkani village of Orumiyeh on the charge of propaganda against the state and transferred him to the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre of Orumiyeh. He was transferred to Orumiyeh Central Prison after 2 days of interrogations.

An indictment was filed against him at Branch 5 of the Orumiyeh Public Prosecutor’s Office on the charge of insulting the state. He was temporarily released on a bail of 20 Milion Toman this afternoon on March 06.

A reliable source told KHRN earlier that security forces had announced that he had been arrested due to reciting political poems in the classroom.
