Detained Kurdish civilians Abdolaziz Rasouli and Anwar Mam-Ali, have been transferred to ward 1-2 of Orumiyeh Central Prison.

Security forces had detained the civilians in Piranshahr in West Azerbaijan province on 31 May.

They had detained the two civilians along with Sattar Rasouli, brother of Abdolaziz Rasouli, and taken them to the detention centre of the intelligence ministry in Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan province.

Sattar Rasouli was released a month later, but Abdolaziz Rasouli and Anwar Mam-Ali were interrogated for three months in the detention centre of the intelligence ministry in Orumiyeh.

On 1 September, the two civilians were transferred to the quarantine ward of the Orumiyeh Central Prison.

Nearly a month later, they were transferred to ward 1-2 of the prison.

The two were charged with “membership in Salafi groups”.
