A detained Kurdish civilian named Jalal Amini was temporarily released from Bukan prison in West Azerbaijan province on 4 September with a bail of one billion Iranian Tomans – nearly 31,000 USD.
In addition, the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in Bukan extended the detentions of Kurdish civilians Hossein Ahmadi and Kazem Mam-Esmaeil in the past few days.
These three civilians were transferred from a security detention centre in Orumiyeh to Bukan prison after their interrogation ended on 25 August.
Security forces arrested Amini on 15 August and Ahmadi on 20 August in the Mirava town in Bukan and took them to the detention centre of the security police in Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan province.
Also, on 21 August, the security forces raided civilian Aboubakr Mam-Esmaeil’s house in the Qezeljeh village of Mahabad. They searched the house, confiscated some of his family’s belongings and arrested him with his two sons Kazem and Kamil.
The father and his son Kamil were released after a few hours, but Kazem Mam-Esmaeil was transferred to a security detention centre in Orumiyeh.
These civilians have been accused of “acting against national security” through “collaboration with one of the Kurdish opposition parties”.
