Security forces arrested two sisters, Zilan Molaei and Zeryan Molaei, on 13 August after raiding on their family home in Sanandaj, Kurdistan Province.
The sisters were arrested without a warrant and taken to an undisclosed location, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned.
Details of the charges against the two students remain unknown.
Zilan is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in architecture, while Zeryan is enrolled in an associate degree program architecture in Sanandaj.
