Iran today executed prisoners Fathollah Rashno and Vahid Kakavand on drug-related charges in Khorramabad Central Prison in Lorestan Province.

On 18 October, the two prisoners were moved to solitary confinement for execution, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned.

Rashno and Kakavand, both from Kuhdasht in Lorestan Province, were arrested on separate drug-related charges and sentenced to death.

Earlier on 17 October, two other prisoners, Yasser Golzardian and Sajjad Moradi, were also executed in Khorramabad Central Prison on similar charges.
