The civilians Alan Hamajani, Pourya Nasiri, Milad Morovvati and Hawre Toreh, who were detained after being summoned by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Organisation in Mahabad, West Azerbaijan Province on 30 October, have been released.

Morovvati and Toreh, both students of Kurdish language and literature at the University of Kurdistan in Sanandaj in Kurdistan Province, were released after a brief interrogation.

Hamajani and Nasiri were initially transferred to a security prison in Mahabad, but were later released on bail on 1 November.

There is no information about the charges against the four civilians.

They were reportedly summoned to the IRGC’s Intelligence Organisation twice in recent weeks and interrogated for several hours.
