Death row prisoners Bagher Mohammadi Geravand and Nazir Mohammadi were executed today for drug-related offences in Ghezel Hesar prison in Karaj, Alborz Province.
The two prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement for execution on 14 November.
Mohammadi Garavand, a 40-year-old civilian from Kuhdasht, Lorestan Province, was arrested in 2014 on drug-related charges and sentenced to death.
Nazir Mohammadi, an Afghan national, had also been convicted on similar charges.
