Kurdish civilian Mohammad Kadkhoda was provisionally released on bail from Bukan prison in West Azerbaijan Province on 14 November after one month in detention.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that Kadkhoda was transferred from the Ministry of Intelligence detention centre in Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan Province, to Bukan Prison on 12 November after the interrogation period.

Throughout his four weeks of interrogation in the Ministry of Intelligence detention centre, Kadkhoda was denied access to legal representation and family visits.

On 14 October, Kadkhoda’s home in Bukan was raided and he was arrested without a warrant by the Police for the Supervision of Public Facilities and Places and the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

He was released on temporary bail amounting to 10 billion rials – nearly 20,000 USD.
