Iranian security forces arrested four Kurdish civilians in the cities of Oshnavieh and Shahin Dej in West Azerbaijan Province on 11 May and took them to undisclosed locations, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned.

Loghman Haji-Khosh, a civilian from the village of Kohneh Qaleh in Oshnavieh, was summoned by telephone to the Ministry of Intelligence in the city before being arrested.

At the same time, civilians Salar Beygi, Ali Shiri, and Nasser Moradi, all from the village of Quzluy-e Afshar in Shahin Dej, were beaten and arrested.

No details of the charges against these individuals or their current whereabouts have been provided.

In recent weeks, IRGC Intelligence and Ministry of Intelligence agents have summoned or arrested dozens of Kurdish civilians in various cities in Kurdistan, including activists and artists, for participating in or organising Newroz celebrations.
