Iranian authorities today executed prisoner Vahed Binami in Naqadeh Prison following his conviction on drug-related charges.
Binami, a father of two from Piranshahr, West Azerbaijan Province, had been imprisoned for nearly eight years and was sentenced to death for offences linked to drug trafficking.
On 30 October, the authorities transferred him to solitary confinement in preparation for his execution.
