Iranian border guards shot and seriously injured Mardin Shokri, a kolbar from the village of Desheh in Paveh, Kermanshah Province, in the border area of Nowsud, Kermanshah Province.
The incident occurred on 2 November when border forces opened fire on a group of kolbars with pellet guns at close range and without warning.
Shokri was hit in the head and neck and was subsequently transferred to Taleghani Hospital in Kermanshah, Kermanshah Province, where he is in a critical condition.
