Hiwa Bahin, a Kurdish civilian from Bukan, West Azerbaijan Province, was arrested by security forces on 24 November .
The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that Bahin was arrested following a summons to the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Bukan and was then taken to the organisation’s detention centre in Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan Province.
Despite repeated inquiries by his family, no judicial or security authority has provided a reason for his arrest.
In a brief telephone call, Bahin informed his family of his transfer to Orumiyeh after his arrest ad his family has not been granted permission to visit him so far.
