The Iranian authorities have executed three prisoners from Kermanshah Province who had been sentenced to death on drug-related charges, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned.
Ali Faza Doustiani, from Kermanshah, who was arrested about six years ago, was executed in Karaj Central Prison in the early hours of 15 April.
At the same time, two other prisoners – Peyman Naderi, also from Kermanshah, and Karim Esmaeili from Eslamabad-e Gharb – were executed in Bandar Abbas Central Prison.
Naderi and Esmaeili were arrested on drug charges about two and three years ago respectively and subsequently sentenced to death.
