Musa Omidi, a prominent Kurdish civil rights activist from Ilam, Ilam Province, has been arrested during a raid by the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on his family home.
The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that agents raided Omidi’s home on 2 July and detained him without presenting a warrant.
During the raid, security forces also confiscated several of his personal belongings, including a mobile phone, laptop, and books.
Omidi, known for his civic activism in Ilam, has been repeatedly summoned and interrogated by security agencies in recent years.
