The Ministry of Intelligence has arrested four Kurdish men without warrants in the village of Arnan near Sanandaj, Kurdistan Province.

The detainees – Diyar Ahmadi, Ali Ahmadi, Ayoub Ahmadi and Abed Ahmadi – were taken into custody on 14 July after dozens of agents raided their family homes in the early hours of the morning, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned.

They were subsequently transferred to a Ministry of Intelligence detention facility in Sanandaj.

KHRN understands that three of the men – Diyar, Ali, and Ayoub Ahmadi – were previously arrested in September and October 2023 by the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and detained for several weeks before being released on bail.
