Iranian border forces have shot and killed a kolbar and injured two others in separate incidents in the border regions of Marivan and Sarvabad, Kurdistan Province, in recent days.
The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that on 23 July, border forces opened fire at close range and without warning on a group of kolbars in the Tateh mountain pass, located in the Hawraman region of Sarvabad.
The shooting killed Amin Gardi, a 40-year-old kolbar and father of one from the village of Kani Tamar Khan in Marivan.
On the following day, 24 July, border guards shot at another group of kolbars in the border areas of Marivan, wounding two men: Rasoul Fathi and 24-year-old Danyal Salehi, who is from the village of Do Palureh.
Salehi is reported to be in critical condition after sustaining gunshot wounds to both legs.
