Iranian authorities have executed two prisoners, Milad Yari and Arman Kakavand, in Karaj Central Prison after convicting them on drug-related charges, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned.
The two men, both from Nurabad in Lorestan Province, were transferred to solitary confinement on 6 October in preparation for their executions, which were carried out two days later, on 10 October.
Yari and Kakavand were arrested several years ago on charges related to drug trafficking and subsequently sentenced to death.
