Asti Mohammadi, a 67-year-old Kurdish woman from Bukan, West Azerbaijan Province, remains in incommunicado detention 10 days after being arrested by Ministry of Intelligence forces, with her family still unable to learn of any charges against her or her current condition.

Ministry of Intelligence agents raided Mohammadi’s family home in Bukan on the night of 11 May without a warrant, arresting her and confiscating personal belongings including a photo album, a mobile phone, and some books.

She was reportedly transferred to a security detention facility in Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan Province.

Since her arrest, Mohammadi has been denied access to her family, legal representation, and her medication.

She is the mother of three children, two of whom are Kurdish political activists based outside Iran.
