Salam Bahrami and Sarvar Bahrami, two Kurdish civilians from Marivan, Kurdistan Province, remain detained without clear legal status in the security ward of Kermanshah Central Prison, more than three months after their arrest by Ministry of Intelligence forces.

The two men were arrested on 30 March 2026 while travelling in their private car on the road from Ravansar to Kermanshah.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that Ministry of Intelligence forces arrested the two men and transferred them to solitary confinement cells in the security ward of Kermanshah Central Prison (Dizel Abad Prison).

They were held in solitary confinement for two months without family visits, telephone contact with their families or access to a lawyer.

They were later transferred to the general ward of the same security section.

The charge brought against the two citizens has been announced as “collaboration with one of the Kurdish opposition parties”.
