Security forces have arrested two Kurdish men, Abdollah Pashabadi and Milad Morovvati, without warrants in Kermanshah and Mahabad, taking them to undisclosed locations.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that security forces arrested Pashabadi, a citizen from Kamyaran in Kurdistan Province who lives in Kermanshah, Kermanshah Province, on 26 July.

Two days later, on the afternoon of 28 July, security forces also arrested Morovvati, a bookseller from Mahabad in West Azerbaijan Province and a law student at the city’s Islamic Azad University, on Vafaei Street in the city.

Following his arrest, the forces searched his Hevi bookshop and confiscated several personal belongings, including his laptop.

At the time of writing, no information was available about the reasons for the arrests or the charges brought against the two men.
