Security forces have arrested four Kurdish citizens – Dariush Rahimi, Eyvaz Behnamoun, Shaban Ahmadvash and Ebrahim Ahmadvash – in Sanandaj, Kurdistan Province, and Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan Province, taking them to undisclosed locations.
The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that security forces arrested Rahimi at his family home in Sanandaj on 15 August, without a warrant and using violence.
The forces searched the property and confiscated mobile phones belonging to Rahimi and his wife.
In the early hours of 16 August, forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Organisation surrounded the village of Kachaleh in Orumiyeh County.
The forces raided the homes of three residents – Behnamoun, Shaban Ahmadvash and his brother, Ebrahim Ahmadvash – and arrested them without warrants, using violence.
At the time of writing, no information was available regarding the reasons for the arrests, the charges brought against the four citizens or their places of detention.
