Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Organisation have arrested Kurdish child Bafrin Ahmadvash in the village of Kachaleh in Orumiyeh County, West Azerbaijan Province, taking her to an undisclosed location.
The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that the child was arrested without a warrant in the early hours of 16 August, alongside two of her uncles, Shaban and Ebrahim Ahmadvash, during a raid on the family home.
IRGC intelligence forces surrounded the village that morning and arrested three other residents: Eyvaz Behnamoun, Shaban Ahmadvash and Ebrahim Ahmadvash.
Despite the family’s repeated visits and enquiries, the security and judicial authorities have refused to provide any information about the child’s situation.
At the time of writing, no information was available regarding the reason for Ahmadvash’s arrest or the charges brought against her.
