Security forces have arrested Kurdish citizens Milad Alaei-Nasab, Amin Nasseri, Yasser Havasizadeh, Rouhollah Gholami and Younes Bekri without warrants in Darreh Shahr, Asemanabad and Sarableh, Ilam Province, over the past week.
The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that on 23 August, officers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Organisation shot Nasseri in the leg and arrested him after he was wounded.
Nasseri, a Kurdish singer from Asemanabad, had been wanted by the security agencies following the December 2025–January 2026 protests.
Security forces arrested Gholami and Bekri, two other citizens from Asemanabad, at the same time.
On 24 August, security forces surrounded the Pir Hamzeh area of Asemanabad and violently arrested Havasizadeh.
Three days later, on 27 August, security forces arrested Alaei-Nasab, from Darreh Shahr, in the city.
Despite the families’ attempts to obtain information about the five, the security and judicial authorities have refused to respond or provide any explanation about their situation.
At the time of writing, no information was available regarding the reasons for the arrests or the charges brought against them.
