The fate and condition of Zahra Pir-Dehghan, a 32-year-old Kurdish woman from Chaldoran, West Azerbaijan Province, remain unknown 75 days after her arrest.
The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Organisation agents arrested Pir-Dehghan without a warrant on 25 June while she was travelling in a private vehicle on the Serow–Orumiyeh road.
She was subsequently taken to the organisation’s detention facility at the Al-Mahdi military base.
Pir-Dehghan has been denied access to a lawyer, telephone contact and family visits since her arrest.
Despite repeated visits and enquiries by her family, security and judicial authorities have continued to refuse to provide any information or explanation about her situation.
