Iran executes prisoner for murder-related charges in Kermanshah

Ehsan Nowrouzi, a prisoner from Dalahu County, Kermanshah Province, was executed at Kermanshah Central Prison (Dizel Abad Prison) after being sentenced to death for “premeditated murder”.
The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that Nowrouzi was executed at dawn on 29 September after nine years in prison.
Nowrouzi, a Kurdish Yarsani citizen and a father of one from the village of Palan-e Olya in Dalahu County, was arrested in 2017 on charges of “premeditated murder” in connection with a group fight and was subsequently sentenced to qisas (retribution in kind).
