Two Kurdish civilians Khaled Esmaeili and Nader Mehri who were held for 17 days in the detention centre of the Ministry of Intelligence in Orumiyeh, have been transferred to the political ward of the city’s prison on 3 May, sources told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).
Esmaeili, 24 years old from Naqadeh, and Mehri, 24 years old from Orumiyeh, were arrested by security forces on 16 April on charges of “collaborating with Salafi religious groups”.
