Kurdish civilians Ahmad Mahmoudian and Ali Ejaz, who were interrogated for 16 days on the accusation of “membership in a Kurdish opposition party”, have been released today from Orumiyeh Central Prison on a bail of 500 million Iranian Tomans, nearly 20,000 USD.

According to the information received by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), Ahmad Mahmoudian, a resident of Mirabad in Sardasht, and Ali Ejaz, who comes from Maku, were arrested by the forces of the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Salmas on 22 May and were transferred to the detention centre of this security institution in Al-Mahdi base in Orumiyeh.

The two civilians were transferred to Orumiyeh Central Prison today, after 16 days of interrogation in the detention centre of the Intelligence Organisation of the IRGC.

They have been accused of “membership in a Kurdish opposition party”.
