The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces have detained a Kurdish civilian named Ebrahim Alizadeh without an arrest warrant in Piranshahr, West Azerbaijan province, on 16 August.
Alizadeh, from Tarkesh village of Piranshahr, has been taken to the IRGC’s detention centre in Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan province.
IRGC has denied him communication with or visits by his family, sources told the KHRN.
The statistics compiled by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) suggest that the IRGC is currently holding more than 10 Kurdish activists and civilians in its detention centre at the Al-Mahdi base in Orumiyeh.
The IRGC detained these individuals in the past two months in Bukan, Piranshahr, Mahabad, and Sardasht in West Azerbaijan province.
