Iranian security institutions have not yet given information on the charges against and the whereabouts of the detained Kurdish civilians Zaher Rouzkhoun, Hossein Dudkanlou, and Shaho Ahmadi.
On 29 August, security forces detained Rouzkhoun and Dudkanlou in Kuseh Kahriz village in Mahabad, West Azerbaijan province, without an arrest warrant.
A few days later, they also detained Shaho Ahmadi, another civilian from the village.
According to statistics compiled by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), since 23 August, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Ministry of Intelligence detained at least 17 Kurdish civilians and activists in Mahabad, Bukan, Oshnavieh, Piranshahr, and Sardasht in West Azerbaijan province and Divandarreh, Sanandaj, and Marivan in Kurdistan province.
