Security forces detained Jabbar Dousti, a member of the Kurdistan-Marivan Teachers’ Union, in Marivan, Iran’s northwestern Kurdistan Province, on 7 June. They took him to an undisclosed location.
Officers searched the activist’s house at the time of his arrest.
Dousti, who suffers from heart disease, was previously arrested on 31 January for his trade union activities.
Currently, three other teachers’ union activists named Shaban Mohammadi, Masoud Nikkhah, and Eskandar Lotfi are held in custody in Marivan.
In a brief phone call on 4 June, Mohammadi and Nikkhah said they had been transferred to Evin Prison in Tehran.
