Security forces detained three civilians named Ahmad Gorgin, Peyman Tahazadeh, and Eslam Feyzi in the village of Gavmish Goli in Miandoab, West Azerbaijan province, on 16 August and took them to an undisclosed location.

Officers have reportedly raided the houses of these people, searched and seized some of their personal belongings and arrested them by resorting to verbal and physical violence.

There is no information about the reason for the arrest and the whereabouts of these civilians.

According to statistics collected by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), the Ministry of Intelligence has arrested at least 20 Kurdish civilians and activists in the past week in the cities of Oshnavieh, Bukan, Mahabad, and Miandoab.
