Kurdish civilian Aram Azad, who was arrested by security forces about a month ago in Sanandaj, Kurdistan province, remains in the detention centre of the Ministry of Intelligence in the city without the right to legal counsel and family visits.
Azad made several short phone calls with his family in the past month, informing them that he was pressured by security interrogators to make a forced confession, Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned.
The charges brought against the civilian are not known yet.
