The fate of Milad Morshedi and Shahriyar Faryadian, two Kurdish civilians who were recently arrested by security forces in the counties of Chardavol and Sirvan in Ilam Province, remains unknown.
Morshedi, who lives in the Karezan district of Sirvan County, was arrested on 16 July.
On 13 July, security forces arrested Faryadian, a resident of Sarableh in Chardavol County, and transferred him to a detention centre in Ilam.
No information has been provided on the charges against these individuals or their place of detention.
These two civilians were previously arrested during the “Woman, Life, Freedom” uprising against the government and were released on bail after a period of detention.
In the past month, the Ministry of Intelligence in Ilam has launched a new wave of arrests on the pretext that those arrested had taken part in last year’s protests.
So far, security forces have arrested nine civilians, including one child, in Sarableh and Karzan district.
Of these detained civilians, Navid Mohammadzadeh, Mehrdad Gheysar-Beygi, Ayoub Garavand, Younes Garavand, and Arashk Gheysar-Beygi remain in temporary detention at the Ilam Temporary Detention Centre.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Tahmasebi and Hamed Rahmani were released on bail of 40 billion Iranian rials – nearly 80,000 USD – after several days.
