Kurdish civilians Yahya Moradi, Diako Khezri and Peyman Esmaeilpour have been arrested by security forces in Javanrud, Mahabad and Bukan in recent days.

On 11 February, security forces arrested Moradi, one of the protesters detained during the November 2019 protests in Javanrud, Kermanshah Province, at his home in the city.

A day later, on 12 February, Khezri, the uncle of Shaho Khezri, one of the protesters killed during the Women, Life, Freedom uprising, was arrested in Mahabad, West Azerbaijan Province, and taken to an undisclosed location.

Additionally, on 13 February, Esmaeilpour was arrested during a raid on his home in the village of Haji-Lak in Bukan, West Azerbaijan Province.

Security forces carried out the raid without a warrant, breaking doors and windows and instilling fear among his family members.

Despite repeated appeals from the detainees’ families, the authorities have so far refused to provide any information about their fate.
