Security forces have arrested five Kurdish citizens from the village of Sardosh, Marivan, Kurdistan Province—Shirzad Abdi, Azad Norouzi, Zaniar Gaderi, Zaniar Tavana, and Pouya Kakeh Mohammadi—without warrants, transferring them to an undisclosed location.
The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that in the early hours of Saturday, August 29, dozens of security personnel with multiple vehicles raided the village of Sardosh in Marivan and detained the five citizens without presenting a judicial warrant.
Despite the families’ attempts to obtain information about their loved ones, the security and judicial authorities have refused to respond or provide any explanation regarding their situation.
At the time of writing, no information is available regarding the reasons for the arrests or the charges brought against them.
