A prisoner named Ebrahim Nasirikhah was executed today in Orumiyeh Central Prison, in Iran’s northwestern West Azerbaijan province.
An Iranian court had sentenced Nasirikhah to the death penalty on drug-related charges.
The prisoner had previously been transferred twice to solitary confinement for the execution of his sentence in April and August 2021.
