Iran executed prisoner Ahmad Zali Tabar, who was sentenced to death over drug-related charges, at Karaj Central Penitentiary on 23 January.
Zali Tabar, 23, comes from the city of Nurabad in Lorestan province, was arrested about three years ago and sentenced to death over drug-related offences.
He was transferred to solitary confinement together with three other death row prisoners, Saman Nabi Garousi, Omid Karami and Abolfazl Borghaninezhad.
According to statistics compiled by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), Iran executed at least four Kurdish civilians at Karaj Central Penitentiary in the past week over alleged charges related to drugs.
