Prisoners Kioumars Sadeghpour and Mohammad Doustinezhad were executed over drug-related offences in Iran’s western cities of Kermanshah and Hamedan in the past few days, Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned.

At least one prisoner, Kioumars Sadeghpour, was executed at Dizel Abad Prison in Kermanshah on 28 February.

In addition, the 29-year-old prisoner Mohammad Doustinezhad was executed at Hamedan Central Prison on 1 March.

The two prisoners were sentenced to death on drug-related charges several years ago.

According to statistics compiled by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network, at least seven Kurdish prisoners, including a political prisoner, have been executed in Orumiyeh, Kermanshah and Hamedan over the past two weeks.
