Farhad Mohammadi, a lawyer and secretary of the National Unity Party in Kurdistan, was arrested by security forces after being summoned to the Ministry of Intelligence office in Sanandaj and transferred to the Intelligence Detention Centre in Sanandaj.
A reliable source in Sanandaj told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) that Farhad Mohammadi, lawyer and secretary of the National Unity Party in Kurdistan, was arrested after being summoned to the Ministry of Intelligence office in Sanandaj on Wednesday, January 03.
According to the source, he has been summoned to the Ministry of Intelligence office in Sanandaj many times over the last few months for being questioned about his activities.
Three other environmental activists of the Kurdistan branch of National Unity Party in Kamyaran, Reza Asadi, Hadi Kamangar and Fazel Qeitasi have been arrested in Kamyaran over the past few days and transferred to the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre in Sanandaj.
The Kurdistan branch of the National Unity Party announced its formation in March 2016 at Fajr Cultural Complex and later opened its offices in cities such as Kamyaran and Marivan.
