Iranian border forces shot dead Kurdish tradesman Yaghoub Abbasi in the border areas of Baneh, Kurdistan province, on 18 April, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned.
Forces of the Border Guard Command opened fire on a group of tradesmen at the Alut border region in Baneh, severely injuring Abbasi.
The civilian lost his life after his transfer to a medical centre in Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan province.
Abbasi, 42, was a father of one and came from the village of Kulseh-ye Olya in Sardasht, West Azerbaijan province.
