The Court of Appeals of Iran’s West Azerbaijan province has commuted the eight-year prison sentence of Kurdish political prisoner Saeid Tabnak to four years and two months in prison.

On 10 October 2020, he was released on bail after his interrogation ended.

A few months later, the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Oshnavieh sentenced him to eight years in prison.
