Former political prisoner Heshmat Namanpour was arrested by the security forces and transferred to the Orumiyeh Central Prison after ten days of interrogations.

Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has been informed that Namanpour was arrested by security forces in Orumiyeh on January 13 and was interrogated for ten days on the charge of propaganda against the state at the Ministry of Intelligence in Orumiyeh.

He was transferred to ward 3-4 of Orumiyeh Central Prison after interrogation on Provisional Arrest Warrant. However, the authorities have refused to accept his requests to transfer him to the Political Prisoners Ward so far.

Heshmat Namanpour from Orumiyeh was arrested by security forces earlier in October 2014 and sentenced to one and a half years in prison on the charge of acting against national security. He served his prison sentence at the Psychotherapy Ward of Orumiyeh Central Prison and was released after completing his term.
