A silo worker has died after the collapse of a wheat tank at the Mansoor Wheat Silo in Mahabad on 6 January, a local source told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).
The worker, Saber B., from Gug Tapa village, lost his life at the silo due to suffocation, after he and another worker had come under piles of wheat after the silo’s wheat tank had collapsed on them while working, the source said.
The other worker has been saved but Saber B had lost his life by the time his colleagues and members of the fire brigade had reached them.
